Canadian point-of-sale and e-commerce platform Lightspeed Commerce Inc. said Thursday lower consumer spending would weigh on revenue in the near term.
Lightspeed said that it expects consumer spending to remain under pressure which would affect its transaction-based revenues which represents over half of its total revenue.
Revenue is forecasted to come at the low end of its guidance range of between $730 million and $740 million.
Adjusted loss before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization for the full fiscal 2023 year is now expected improve to be around $37 million, compared with a previous forecast for loss of $40 million.
